HEY LOVES, SOMETHING NEW IS COMING!
For years, you’ve known me as a Brand Strategist and the creator of The Daring Fempreneur. As someone who helped entrepreneurs build their brands and then grow those brands through connection and community. And I put my whole heart into that work. I really, really did.
But something has been asking me to go deeper. Into the stuff most of us don’t put on our websites.
This vision has been calling me for over a year now, and I’m ready to start giving it form.
It's called Alchemy & Ash.
Alchemy & Ash is a space for women going through perimenopause and the midlife unraveling and awakening that so often accompanies it. That disorienting experience of feeling like the life you built, the roles that gave you purpose, the identity you've carried for years, no longer fit the way they used to. And so many women are going through this quietly, alone, with very few spaces where they can talk about what it actually feels like.
I went through my own version of this, and I shared pieces of that story in my last email. And what brought me through it was being in spaces with other women who got it. Being in circles where I could fall completely apart and still be loved. That experience changed me. And it's a big reason I'm here, doing this.
Now, I know what you might be thinking. Brand strategy to perimenopause and midlife awakening? That's a leap.
So let me connect the dots, because at the foundation, these two worlds are actually more similar than they look.
Two threads run through everything I've ever done, and they run straight through Alchemy & Ash too.
The first is community. I've been bringing women together into real, honest, below-the-surface conversation since 2011. Before, those spaces were for women entrepreneurs. Now, they're for any woman whose life is shifting and wants a safe place to land.
The second is the work of becoming more yourself. As a brand strategist, I helped you bring your truth to the surface so the right people could find you. That work was never really about logos or websites. It was about helping you get clear on who you actually are, so you could express that and live it out loud in your work. At Alchemy & Ash, we're doing the same work turned inward. We unburden ourselves from the stories, beliefs, and patterns we've been carrying, so we can step into more alignment, peace, and clarity. Both paths are about creating space for you to be more of who you are.
And I want you to know, I'm walking this path with you. I’m asking the questions, sitting with the not-knowing and doing the work. My vision is to hold space for us to come together so none of us feels like we’re going through this alone.
So let me share what we're actually going to talk about in this space:
- The void: standing in the middle of a life you worked hard to build, wondering why it feels so empty
- The identity reckoning: who are you when you're not the successful business owner, the caretaker, the good wife, the reliable friend, the one who holds everything together
- The marriage and relationship shifts nobody warns you about: when you're changing and the people around you aren't, or when you realize you've been so busy keeping everything running that you lost each other somewhere along the way
- The doors that close before you're ready, and grieving the path and the version of yourself you were quietly holding onto, whether that's motherhood, a career, a relationship, or a dream you never quite named out loud.
- The stories and patterns we inherited from our mothers, our families, our culture, that have been quietly running our lives, and what it takes to finally put them down
- The rage, the anxiety, and the shame we feel about all of it, especially when we can't explain it to the people who love us
- A body that's exhausted and wired at the same time, that keeps you up at 3am, that gives you hot flashes and brain fog and then asks you to show up and function like everything is fine
- Aging parents who need more of you, kids who need all of you, and the invisible weight of being needed from every direction while quietly falling apart inside
- Joy, peace, and what it feels like to want things again, to care about something just because it lights you up
- The clarity, the self-trust, and the deep inner okayness that becomes available to you when you do the work and walk through the fire, and what it looks like to build a life from that place
This isn't a medical space. I'm not a doctor, and while we're absolutely welcome to talk about and share resources around things like hormones and nutrition, our focus is the emotional, spiritual, and identity transformation that happens during this time. That said, I believe deeply in the mind and body connection, so we'll weave in practices, and maybe even bring in experts, that support healing in a holistic way.
So who is this for?
Women and non-binary people who feel their lives shifting beneath them, and are roughly somewhere in the perimenopause years. Generally speaking, that's when we’re in our 40s. But I hold that number loosely. You don't need to be a specific age or have received a diagnosis. For me, this started in my late 30s. If these themes resonate with you, you belong here.
I'd also love for this space to hold women who've already come through this time, because you have wisdom we need. And I'd love for younger women to be here too, so that being completely caught off guard like I was, doesn't have to be your experience.
Age is a loose frame, not a gate. What matters is whether this resonates.
As for what Alchemy & Ash will actually look like in practice, I'm still feeling that out. I'll start by sharing my stories and going deeper into themes I've only touched on so far in my emails to you. From there, my vision is to create spaces where we can go deep together, both online and in person, whether that's a small closed container where a group of women commit to journeying together for a period of time, or open drop-in gatherings where you can show up when it feels right.
So, if this resonates with you, I'm so glad you're here. If you want to be part of the unfolding of this vision, join my list below to follow along!
With so much love,
Jessie May
